Evansville Junior Football League gives young athletes an opportunity to learn football fundamentals, develop teamwork, and build confidence through age-appropriate flag and tackle football divisions.
Programs are available for children in kindergarten through seventh grade.

🏈 2026 Season Information
📍 Season begins: Early August
🏃 First practice: Monday, August 3, 2026
📆 Practice Commitment
Weeks 1–2
Practices are held Monday through Thursday.
Beginning August 10
Teams practice three days per week. Exact practice days are determined by each team’s coach.
Families should confirm their athlete’s schedule directly with their coach because practice days and times may vary by team.
👥 Divisions
🏳️ Junior Division
Format: Flag football
Grades: Kindergarten–2nd grade
This division introduces younger athletes to football fundamentals in a flag-football environment.
💪 Intermediate Division
Format: Tackle football
Grades: 2nd–4th grade
The Intermediate Division introduces athletes to tackle football while continuing to develop foundational skills and teamwork.
🔥 Senior Division
Format: Tackle football
Grades: 5th–7th grade
The Senior Division gives older players an opportunity to continue developing their football skills through organized tackle competition.
ℹ️ Important Information for Seventh-Grade Players
Seventh-grade athletes may choose to participate in EJFL or their high school’s Cub League.
Players cannot participate in both programs during the same season.
