Celebrating 80 seasons of youth baseball in Newburgh!

Newburgh Junior Baseball has provided local children with opportunities to learn, compete and enjoy baseball for generations. From introductory T-ball through Babe Ruth, NJB offers age-appropriate divisions designed to help players develop their skills, learn teamwork and build lasting friendships.

The organization also offers Newburgh Buddy Ball, coaching opportunities and annual tournaments for local and regional teams.

⚾ Fall Ball Divisions

  • T-Ball: Ages 4–5

  • League 4 Coach Pitch: Ages 5–6

  • League 3 Coach Pitch: Ages 7–8

  • League 2 Live Pitch: Ages 9–10

  • League 1: Ages 11–12

  • Babe Ruth: Ages 13–16

Vann Park divisions

  • Games may be scheduled Tuesday and Thursday evenings or Sunday afternoons.

  • Includes T-Ball, League 4, League 3 and League 2.

Mulzer Fields divisions

  • Games may be scheduled Mondays and Wednesdays.

  • Includes League 1 and Babe Ruth.

Schedules are subject to change. Team practices are arranged by each coach, and game schedules are released after practices begin.

Newburgh Buddy Ball gives players with disabilities an opportunity to experience baseball in an encouraging and supportive environment.

Fall 2026 player registration is available through Newburgh Junior Baseball.

πŸ† NEWBURGH CAKE EATER CLASSIC

The Newburgh Cake Eater Classic returns Oct. 3–4, 2026, at Vann Park.

Tournament Details

  • Divisions: 7U–14U

  • Team levels: A–AA

  • Coach Pitch 7U–8U: $100 per team

  • Live Pitch 9U–12U: $200 per team

  • Live Pitch 13U–14U: $300 per team

  • Payment deadline: Sept. 15

  • Tournament fees must be paid before schedules are released.

  • USSSA rules apply unless otherwise specified.

    β˜€οΈ Summer Developmental League

    NJB also offers a summer developmental league designed specifically for recreational players who want to continue building their baseball skills. Players participating in All-Star, select, or travel baseball are not eligible, helping create a balanced and development-focused environment.

    NJB is the only local recreational baseball organization offering a summer program like this.

πŸŽ’ WHAT PLAYERS MAY NEED

Families should review division-specific rules before purchasing equipment. Common items include:

  • Baseball glove or mitt

  • Approved baseball bat

  • Batting helmet

  • Baseball pants

  • Molded plastic cleats or turf shoes

  • Batting gloves

  • Athletic cup for live-pitch divisions

  • Equipment bag

Metal spikes are not permitted. Bat requirements vary by division, so families should check NJB’s current bat rules before purchasing a new bat.
